Please read the letter below from Beau Lucas:
Players, Parents, Coaches and Friends,
I want to thank all of you for making this the most successful season in the history of CT Velocity Volleyball Club. The feedback we have received from the community has been just amazing and so very rewarding. For me personally, it has been a most memorable year. With that being said, I have some news I want to share with all of you. I have sold my part of CT Velocity back to the club and will no longer be an owner. I have made this decision for many reasons. Most of them are for my own personal growth and do not, in any way, reflect on how I feel about any of you. I feel this is the most supportive group of parents I have ever had the privilege of working with. The teammates and players have been a joy to watch grow over the years into incredible young ladies. I couldn't have asked for a more enthusiastic and knowledgeable group of coaches to work with.
I have always known that my ownership of the club would be a temporary position. My goal all along was to make sure I left it better than I found it. Peter Maneggia has been stellar. The club's growth is in great part, due to him as well as Amanda Nappi. Although I may not own the club or be as involved as I have been in years past, I am always here for any of you. I am just a phone call, text or email away.
Thank you so much for all the lessons and fond memories.
Velocity would like to thank Beau for providing a vision for the club's continued success and for all he does for volleyball in southeastern Connecticut.
